Civil-Engineering
This project entailed site development package in support of the Architect’s building program. The new building, consisting of 7,630 square feet, including basement level, was situated on a 5 acre portion of vacant land. With the setting for this project being rural in nature, the building and site was developed to maintain non-commercial characteristic and feel. The site design incorporated new off-street parking for 94 cars and storm water was managed within the confines of the property. As the proposed use was not allowed in this particular zoning district, special use permitting procedures were initiated with the Barry County Planning Office, the governing authority for this project. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) provided full scope site engineering, survey and testing services for this new facility for Orangeville Township offices and Community room. During the construction phase of this project, D&A also provided site layout and materials testing services. Collaborating with the Architect and Engineer, Driesenga & Associates, Inc. provided full-scope design from conceptual planning through the construction phase of this project.
