Driesenga & Associates, Inc. provided the topographic and boundary survey for the parcel, geotechnical investigation, and conceptual site layout for Township site plan approval. Work also included providing construction documents, stormwater management design, construction staking, and materials testing. A unique aspect of the site design included saving a patch of existing mature trees within the parking area. Through coordination between the D&A surveying crews, design engineers, and the contractor, the parking lot design was adjusted to accommodate the existing trees. The La Taj Medical Center is located on South Wellness Drive in Holland Township, Michigan. The property is part of the greater Lakeshore Medical Campus, in which Driesenga had originally provided civil engineering services including land division and road infrastructure. The medical building is a 12,064 square foot facility located on a 1.48 acre parcel with related drives and parking areas.
