This 1.8 acre site is located along the historic river front district in Grand Haven, Michigan, and was previously occupied by the Aquilla Gas Company. The site was contaminated and previously remediated. It is being redeveloped into 19 residential units. (5 single family homes, 4 duplex buildings, and one 6 unit building referred to as the “Club House.” The Club House also has 5 cabaña units on the pool level for condominium owners. Each unit is owned as a condominium, and the site also includes a pool and deck area. Driesenga & Associates, Inc. (D&A) provided a full scope of services on this project. D&A was involved with the environmental evaluation of the site, established due care practices, assisted with the conceptual development plan, designed the proposed site improvements, and provided all survey services, including boundary and topographic surveys, completed the exhibit B documents for the condominium master deed, and performed construction staking services. In addition, a landscape plan was prepared to compliment the cottage style and the associated porches. Colorful and height appropriate plantings were selected to provide numerous views to the adjacent riverfront. During construction Driesenga & Associates provided construction staking services as well as construction materials testing and inspection.
