This Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Local Agency Programs road reconstruction project (STUL 70414, 56408A) in the City of Holland, Michigan. The project included approximately one-half mile of complete reconstruction and required grading modifications, replacement of drainage structures, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, concrete curb and gutter and hot mix asphalt surfacing from 8th Street to 16th Street. Utility service was maintained during the project and services reconnected to the new water and sewer lines. Driesenga & Associates’ staff provided full MDOT design and construction engineering services on the project. Work included survey, design engineering and plan preparation, special provisions and opinion of probable cost construction engineering and project management, construction staking, field inspection, and maintaining project records utilizing Field Manager to comply with Michigan Department of Transportation specifications.
