Story

Cullen Memorial Field is a city owned and maintained, two-diamond little league baseball facility. Constructed in 2001, the aim was to create a tournament ready facility meeting all criteria of Little League Baseball, Inc. An existing Rail Trail borders the southerly edge of Cullen Field, and the parking area will serve as a permanent access point to this future spur of the Hart – Montague Trail. A concession stand and restroom building, bleacher seating and a concrete block, roofed dugout were included. Driesenga & Associates, Inc., (D&A) performed topographic and boundary surveys, construction staking, field layout and grading, fencing design and specifications, layout of bleacher and dugout locations, parking lot design, coordination with local little league coaches. D&A specified fixtures and provided cut sheets for bleachers and dugouts, coordinated water service installation and irrigation design. Bids were advertised and compiled by D&A and the City coordinated contractors.
