Third Reformed Church - Holland

Holland, Michigan

Architectural

Story

Design Plus worked with this church on programming, designing, and implementing a major 25,000 SF addition to this 125-year-old historic Carpenter Gothic style church. The new addition replaced a 1950s addition with expanded classrooms, office, lounge, nursery, and fellowship areas, complying with current ADA accessibility code requirements, and providing improved traffic flow patterns throughout the facility. A new covered entry was also included. The total project cost was $3,400,000 and was complete in 1995. This project won the Associated Builder and Contractor Award for Renovations over $2 million in 1996, and the Grand Valley AIA Distinguished Building Award in 1997.
