Cooley Law School Parking Ramp

Architectural

Story

Design Plus, in collaboration with Rockford Companies, the Grand Rapids Building Authority, and the City of Grand Rapids’ Parking Services Department, provided comprehensive design and documentation for a new six-story, 313-space parking ramp at the corner of Cherry and Commerce. The ramp is designed to support Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s Grand Rapids Campus, as well as surrounding retail shops, offices, and future condominiums in the area. The uniqueness of the ramp lies in its function as an unmanned parking structure with automated cash collection systems, integrated parking control systems, including security and observation systems. The project is currently under construction with expected completion December of 2007, and an estimated construction cost of $7,600,000.
