The Dutton Christian School expansion, nearly doubles the size of its middle school campus, at 6729 Hanna Lake Ave. SE. Founded in 1955, Dutton Christian has 584 students enrolled in pre-school through eighth grade.

The new addition, a north wing to the middle school building, adds nine classrooms, three small group spaces, bathrooms, storage space and playground equipment. The expansion also includes an additional parking lot to the east of the school’s current lot to accommodate the increased traffic. The move allows for third through eighth graders to reside on one campus in two separate learning communities, a wing for third through fifth graders and a wing for sixth through eighth graders.
