Teamwork was the main focus as we approached this project, as our client was a consortium of several organizations that make up two medical groups with Advanced Radiology Services; Advanced Outpatient Imaging and PET Medical Imaging Center. Their goal was to bring the area’s first PET scanner into West Michigan. The facility houses state of the art medical imaging equipment including the PET Scanner, CT Scanner, Open MRI equipment, prep rooms, labs and control rooms. Patient comfort was always a major consideration, and the design includes a spacious reception area that includes a waiting room with lakefront views, coffee kitchen, and space for the kids. There are also private locker rooms and rest rooms. For the employees, private offices share the view of Evergreen Lake along with a large break room. The natural, tree-lined, lakefront setting adds to the calming effect of the environment for both patients and staff alike.
