This custom eight-story, extended-stay hotel is located within an urban entertainment complex and connects to the riverwalk and street levels. The project includes 3,000-sf of meeting space, two boardrooms, a restaurant, pool, exercise room and 2,000-sf of street level retail.
The interior and exterior renovation of this new contemporary restaurant uses custom art glass partitions and perforated metal panels to create a dining “experience”. A new banquet area was designed, along with the addition of outdoor dining, bar and lounge areas. Considerable emphasis was placed on the restaurant’s new image and brand identity.
Designed as a “home away from home” for travelers staying five or more nights, this hotel design provides a residential atmosphere and spacious accommodations in one and two bedroom suites. CR has implemented the prototype design nationwide and completed numerous custom hotels, as well as, reinvention and renovation projects.

It blends classic touches with contemporary design through Carolina décor, grand staircases, vibrant colors, and soaring ceilings. Addressing the needs of business and leisure guests, the hotel has an upscale restaurant and lounge, executive board and meeting rooms, and a 6,000-sf ballroom.

CR converted a 1920s, 43,000-sf, concrete and brick warehouse building into a showroom for high-end furniture, lighting and home accessories. The design conveys a loft-style look with exposed/industrial high ceilings, providing Voltage the space and layout needed to showcase products. The first two floors serve as showrooms. Three additional floors offer storage and lease office space.
CR created a two-story, custom Kroger design featuring brick and cast stone facade, dimensional roof shingles, custom exterior signage, and shadow boxes at street level. The design blends with the existing architecture, fits into the tight, urban site, and conforms to city guidelines.

CR is the Midwest Regional Architect for the Kroger Company. CR has been involved with more than 175 projects over the past 15 years, maintaining the design prototype and brand integrity. CR also developed and maintains the specifications for the national Kroger system.
This 18,000-sf office building serves the dual role of corporate headquarters and showroom for an international manufacturer of commodity and exotic wood veneers. The corporate offices, lobby, conferences rooms and dining facility feature the vast quantities of veneers available. The design also involved a 12,000-sf expansion of the existing warehouse facilities and full-service commercial kitchen.
CR provided the conceptual design and master plan for a new upscale, traditional 330,000-sf urban village located on 16 acres. Buildings will range from two to four stories, and include Class A office space, retail, restaurant and residential spaces. The mixed-use development includes 1,100 parking spaces and fronts a high-end, single-family neighborhood.
CR designed and master planned a 3,000,000-sf urban district in Solon, Ohio, that includes apartments and townhomes, office and retail space, dining, a full-service hotel, parking structures and 10 acres of recreation space. This development is designed to encourage pedestrian activity, connect the Solon City Hall and other municipal buildings, and provide central gathering areas.
