Story

This project is a new medical office building, which houses the Shoreline Women's Center providing OB/GYN services. The entire facility from the entrance lobby to exam room is designed to enhance the patient experience by providing a calming, spa-like atmosphere. The facility provides doctors and staff with 9 exam rooms grouped in 3 color-coordinated "pods", 2 procedure rooms and an alternative medicine room. A sky lit oval shaped circulation path within the exam area allows for ease of patient and staff travel, while eliminating the long corridors associated with many medical office buildings.

This new facility is attached to the South Haven Community Hospital which allows the Women's Center providers efficient access to the hospital Obstetric Department. In an effort to avoid duplication of services, the location of this new facility is also designed to interconnect with the hospital's existing Radiology department. Shoreline Women's Center patients have direct access to new Ultrasound, Mammography, and Stress Test rooms, while still maintaining the perception of being part of the Women's Center building.
