Fountain Street Church

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Architectural

Story

Fountain Street Church is located in the Heritage Hills District in Grand Rapids. All exterior work was done under the guidelines of the United States Department of the Interior. A series of exterior projects undertaken include  several major masonry restorations as well as providing a new clay tile roof with related wood deck and wood structure replacement. The Sanctuary renovation included coordinating lighting design and acoustical consultants. New lighting has been installed and interior finishes and artwork have been secured and restored. Modifications to the Chancel and antiphonal areas were designed, detailed, and coordinated to accommodate a new pipe organ.  A new six stop elevator was also inserted within the existing building to provide for improved barrier free circulation.

The clay tile roofing project received an Award of Excellence from the ABC of Western Michigan.
