Classic Engineering provided the Electrical design on this project which consisted of streetscape lighting for a four mile stretch of M-45 from the river near GVSU, to west of Allendale. Unique features of the project were the coordination with the property owners along M-45, as well with MDOT, and placement of the direct buried poles. In order to provide even illumination Metal Halide luminaries were spaced at 120’ intervals on both sides of the highway. A challenge to the project was the size – over 300 pole mounted luminaries were installed. Johnson Electric’s installation on this project was excellent.
