Story

300 North LaSalle is a pre-certified LEED CS Silver project ultimately seeking Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Build Council. This building is located on the west side of LaSalle Street on the north bank of the Chicago River.  The project includes three (3) floors of below grade parking, seven floors of mixed use parking, mechanical, retail and conference center floors, fifty-two (52) floors of office space and two floors of mechanical and elevator levels.  The support of excavation is an internally braced sheeting system supporting excavations over 45 feet deep.  The structure consists of concrete caissons, grade beams and foundation walls, concrete

core and shear walls and structural steel framing and concrete slabs on metal deck for the fifty nine (59) upper floors.  The façade of the building is primarily a highly detailed curtainwall system with stainless steel accent covers incorporating metal panel buttresses at the top of the building as well as precast concrete panels adjacent to an existing office building on the west elevation.  Rising over 800 feet, the building will be one of Chicago’s tallest upon completion.
