Story

            The Lakewood Ranch Plastic Surgery Medical Office is a 3,300 sq ft interior build-out within an existing core and shell office building located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The "Spa" like design consists of five exam rooms, a procedure room, four offices, reception/checkout lobby, and staff service spaces. The space is used by two doctors, with room for future partners. 

            Great care was taken to employ environmentally friendly finishes throughout the office. Rapidly renewable resources such as cork and linoleum are the primary flooring throughout the project; the remaining spaces have Green Label + Certified carpet tiles with recycled content. Custom desks consist of bamboo veneer over formaldehyde-free, recycled particleboard. All interior doors are solid maple with a low-VOC finish. Recycled glass tile adorns the walls in the restroom, and low-VOC paint and adhesives are used throughout the rest of the project. 

            A glass walled corridor allows the passage of daylight into the core of the office. White translucent glass is used in the lower portion of the wall, with clear glass above to provide as much light transmittance as possible, without compromising the patient's privacy.
