Design Program: Friendship Village is a life care retirement community offering persons 65 and above a lifetime of residential living with the additional benefit of an on site long term medical care unit. In 1998, the construction of an assisted living and electronically controlled dementia unit addition became a part of the Friendship Village Community. Byce & Associates, Inc. designed the mechanical and electrical engineering for this new three story, wood framed structure which is attached to the main Friendship Village Community. Each wing and floor of the new addition was designed with a neighborhood like environment, which was done to not overwhelm the residents of this unit. Each neighborhood contains 13 residential units, separate dining rooms, living room,   television room and full kitchen. Each of the individual units have a bedroom, living/dining area, kitchenette and full bath.

In 2007, 50 Garden Residential Condo units were added along with a private road, retention pond and all utilities.
