Project: Stoneybrook - Washington

316 Sq. Ft. Remodel:

This family longed for more space and an updated design for their small, cramped 1970's kitchen. The owner always felt she was closed off from the party when she entertained. Our challenge was to give our client the desired space without adding square footage.

The renovation began by removing a huge, unsightly bow window that took up half of the room. We added an Anderson door wall and side lights. An added archway with decorative columns frames the entrance to the adjacent family room. Warm medium cherry cabinetry with a chocolate glaze were chosen and highlighted with the use of corbels and decorative moldings. For easy maintenance, Cambria Quartz countertops in a rich black tone were added. The family's busy lifestyle required some special appliances, two drawer dishwasher, warming drawer, wall ovens, as well as the beautiful decorative hood and tiled backsplash. The warm, oak floor served as the finishing touch on a spacious, inviting, timeless kitchen.

Project: Allen Rd. - Clarkston

440 Sq. Ft. Remodel:

Important in this project was the ability to gather a busy, working family with two small children together in a beautiful space.

We began by removing the wall between the kitchen and the unused formal dining room, creating a [previously absent] cohesive space. The kitchen area was completely gutted. Warm cherry cordovan cabinets were chosen for the cabinetry. For easy maintenance, Cambria Quartz countertops in a rich tone were added. The new island offered a place for the couple' s twin girls to eat and do their homework while Mom or Dad worked in the kitchen. For added easy maintenance, a Dura-Ceramic floor was installed mimicking the timeless beauty of tile. All said and done, this kitchen was a joyous transformation for a wonderful family.

Dequindre - Oakland Township Finished

We were presented with a kitchen that required form, function and style. We faced a number of challenges - a long narrow kitchen, a load-bearing beam that couldn't be moved, adding an island and a huge wall of windows .

The long straight lines were softened by the curved center island and the use of decorative moldings, posts and appliqués throughout the space. Three decorative archways were also added to further soften the space. A second sink was incorporated for entertaining. The island cabinetry was done in an off white color maple finish with a chocolate glaze. Cherry cabinetry in a gingerbread color with a chocolate burnish glaze was selected for the rest of the kitchen. The cabinets were enhanced by the light Cambria Quartz countertops. A beautiful tile backsplash and travertine stone flooring provided the final touch for this beautiful, timeless, functional kitchen.
