Project Status: Completed November 2007

Setting / Purpose: Creek/River (freshwater).

Encapsulation of contaminated sediments. Contaminant(s) of Concern: PAHs (polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons) and Coal Tar associated with historic MGP site. AquaBlok Cap Design / Site Area: AquaBlok 3070FW was used in a section of a creek bed to minimize the release of contaminants into the over lying creek. No additional information on placement rate or cap armoring was provided by the purchaser. The site area was approximately 4,000 square feet.

Method of AquaBlok Placement: Shore-based excavator.
