Story

PCP Impacted Groundwater Confidential Client Northwest USA AQUAMENDâ„¢ was selected for pilot-scale demonstration on pentachlorophenol (PCP) impacted groundwater at a facility in Northwest USA. A 500 gallon pilot-scale bioreactor system was operated by the on-site personnel with remote technical support from Adventus. AQUAMENDâ„¢ treatment systems are designed to be dependable and simple to operate. The site groundwater contained PCP at an initial concentration of approximately 1,300 mg/L. Using a hydraulic retention time (empty bed contact time) of 2 hours, AQUAMENDâ„¢ treatment consistently supported reductions in PCP concentration to < 2.1 mg/L. Using a hydraulic retention time of 3 hrs resulted in reductions in PCP concentrations to below detection limits. Graph shows the Influence of AQUAMEND treatment on PCP Concentrations in groundwater at various retention times.
