Ammonia Treatment

Story

AQUAMENDâ„¢ is an effective choice for the treatment of ammonia in water. The AQUAMENDâ„¢ process for the treatment of ammonia consists of the biological conversion of ammonia into nitrate, followed by reduction of the nitrate to nitrogen gas. This process can be accomplished in a single bioreactor or, in some cases, it may be preferable to reduce the ammonia into nitrate in one vessel and reduce the nitrate in a second bioreactor in series to the first. Advantages of AQUAMENDâ„¢ treatment for ammonia removal include high process stability, short retention times and, therefore, lower capital costs.
